"During patrol duty, a police patrol brought a local resident born in 2000 to Police Department No. 5. She was detained for administrative offense under Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation — minor hooliganism. Currently, the juvenile affairs department is conducting an investigation, and a justified procedural decision will be made based on its results," the police said.

In the footage, the woman can be seen resisting and shouting to be released.

Earlier, we reported that authorities in Yekaterinburg have significantly increased patrols along Vaynera, the city’s main pedestrian street, to enforce public order. Police now regularly patrol the area.

There are plans to remove almost all benches from Vaynera due to issues with teenagers.

The Sverdlovsk authorities have taken notice of the situation on Vaynera, which has become unsafe for walking.

"Shame of the city." Yekaterinburg residents complained about homeless people resting on Vaynera.

Local entrepreneurs in Yekaterinburg stated that Vaynera pedestrian street has turned into an area inhabited by marginalized individuals.
