Today at 13:20, the Russian government wrote off the debts of Sverdlovsk Region for budget loans. The exact amount is still being clarified.
According to Ura.Ru, earlier the amount was about 33 billion rubles (part of the debt as of March 1, 2024), plans for which were shared by acting Governor Denis Pasler with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
“The government has decided to write off loans totaling nearly 43 billion rubles from 25 Russian regions,” reports the government’s Telegram channel.
Vladimir Putin ordered the write-off of part of the debts of Russian regions. These funds are to be spent on housing and utilities, transportation, road repairs, and resettling people from dilapidated housing.
It was previously reported that Russia would check the legality of tariff increases for utility services.
