      Today at 12:58 in the Sverdlovsk village of Sergina, a brother and sister killed three dogs belonging to a relative with a sledgehammer after she asked them to care for the animals. The reason for the killing was the man's desire to save on food. This was reported by the prosecutor's office.

      

      — The woman went to work on a shift and asked her older brother, who lives nearby, to take care of the pets — the dogs named "Martin," "Lucifer," and "Malysh," said the department.

      

      The next day, the bodies of the dogs were found in a trash bin.

      According to the investigation, the man did not want to spend money on food and decided to commit a slaughter. He was killing the dogs one by one with a sledgehammer. Another sister assisted him — she immobilized the dogs. After killing the animals, their bodies were discarded. A criminal case was opened against the Ural residents for cruel treatment of animals.
