Yesterday evening, on July 15, in Yekaterinburg, the son of the head of the Azerbaijani diaspora of the Urals, Muttvalla Shykhlynski, was detained. During the arrest of his father, Shakhin Shykhlynski, he hit a special forces officer with a "Gelandewagen." He reversed and accidentally struck a member of the arrest team with the passenger door, causing the officer to hit his head on the asphalt.

According to the E1.RU portal, searches are expected to be conducted on Muttvalla. He has currently been detained for two days under Article 91. A court will follow.
The father of the detainee, Shakhin Shykhlynski, is in hiding. A criminal case has been initiated against him in Moscow on the charge of "Applying violence against a law enforcement officer." He was in the car with his son when they hit a law enforcement officer. According to an early version, it was Shakhin who gave the command to his son to drive.
Recall that on June 27, mass arrests of Azerbaijanis took place in Yekaterinburg. Two key suspects died when police and special forces stormed them: brothers Gusein and Ziyaddin Safarov. One of them became ill when the law enforcement officers burst in — he had heart problems. Efforts were made to save him, an ambulance was called, but the man died. The cause of death of the second man is unknown.
