Today at 12:44, Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced the detention of accomplices of Ukrainian scammers in Sverdlovsk.
— The detainees were involved in exploiting information infrastructure specifically designed to facilitate fraudulent phone calls into Russia, — stated the FSB.
The group operated within the Sverdlovsk and Yaroslavl regions. Six individuals were detained. They organized scam calls from Ukraine using GSM gateways or so-called SIM boxes. The call centers were coordinated by Ukrainian special services. A criminal case has been initiated for fraud.
