The authorities of Yekaterinburg presented the project for the Iseti and Olkhovka Embankments, which won the voting. Today at 5:45 PM, Yekaterinburg's Mayor Aleksey Orlov and his deputy mayors Rustam Galyamov and Vladimir Geiko personally introduced the project for the reconstruction of the Iseti and Olkhovka embankments to acting Sverdlovsk Governor Denis Pasler on-site at the future construction location.
"It is planned to create playgrounds, a sensory trail, a pier, and much more," reports the Telegram channel "Yekaterinburg. Main."
During the voting, this area was chosen by the majority as an object of improvement under the federal program FGCS ("Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment") in 2026.
Comments on the post have already raised some criticisms of the project. For example, a user with the nickname ABVGDĚYKA recommended using larch for the decking—considered the most durable wood against moisture—rather than cheaper pine or plastic.
She also suggested abandoning the sensory trail, which, in her opinion, would not be in demand in urban conditions.
"It will just be washed away by rain, and no one in the city will walk barefoot on the coatings. It’s not a city solution. It just looks like trash enclosed with logs. Sitting on the logs—people will do that," wrote the user.
