Today at 10:00 AM, the Sverdlovsk Regional Court will deliver its verdict for Veronika Naumova, the guardian of 5-year-old Daler Bobiev. The boy whom the entire city was searching for in the summer of 2023. However, the child's body had already been in the garage for six months by that time.

Naumova cynically pretended to search for the child along with everyone else, giving comments to journalists. But after the horrific discovery, she became the primary and sole suspect in the brutal murder of the boy. Only after several examinations was it revealed that Daler’s cause of death was drowning. On that day, Naumova had beaten the boy once again, then drowned him in the bathtub.
Veronika Naumova was charged with multiple crimes, including murder, abuse, fraud, unlawful deprivation of liberty, and involving minors in committing crimes.
During the investigation, it was established that not only the guardian but also her husband, Alexander Naumov, was involved in the child's death. He was sentenced to five years in prison for torturing a minor.
Daniil Egolnikov, the family's nephew, who also participated in the crimes, may face a sentence as well.
Employees of the guardianship office and the children's home from which the boy was relinquished into the family were also found to be complicit.
The state prosecutor demanded a 25-year prison sentence for Veronika Naumova.
