In the center of Yekaterinburg, several houses were suddenly demolished today at 3:31 PM.
In Yekaterinburg, on the section between Pervomayskaya, Gorky, and Proletarskaya streets in the Literary Quarter, the demolition of four buildings constructed in the previous century has begun. URA.RU was informed of this by the developer "Brusnika" press service.
The demolition includes a laboratory building, an auto service, and two office buildings on Pervomayskaya, built between 1930 and 2004. The company emphasized that the structures being demolished are not cultural heritage sites and, according to expert assessments, do not possess historical or architectural significance. The work is coordinated with the State Preservation Service within the framework of the Goldsmithing Laboratory restoration project.
"Brusnika" acquired this complex of 19th-century buildings about five years ago. In the historical quarter, the company plans to open the "Grand Hotel Yekaterinburg" and a gold museum, and on the Proletarskaya side, to build a 37-apartment residential building. Additionally, summer demolition and emergency works will begin on one of the objects in the territory.
