A Sverdlovsk resident on an electric scooter stabbed a woman and injured her husband today at 10:22 AM. In Nizhny Tura, a man on an electric scooter attacked a married couple with a knife. The woman died, and her husband was wounded.
The daughter of the victim, Anastasia, told E1.RU that it all happened on the morning of August 1st in the courtyards of buildings at 64 Karl Marx Street and 63 and 65A Lenin Street. The couple went outside for a walk. An intoxicated man riding an electric scooter passed by them, suddenly shouting something in their direction. A conflict ensued, and at some point, the stranger threw down the scooter, pulled out a knife, and attacked the couple. The woman was stabbed in the chest area. She later died in the intensive care unit. Her husband was wounded in the shoulder.
Neighbors, hearing the noise, ran out and subdued the attacker. Witnesses suspect he was intoxicated. According to Anastasia, the man lives in one of the neighboring houses.
The Investigative Committee declined to comment on the incident.
Earlier in Yekaterinburg, a crowd of teenagers viciously beat a man for refusing to give them money.
