All kiosks of "Roshpechat" risk closing in the Sverdlovsk region
Today at 16:13, Roshpechat representative Maxim Pekarsky stated that the closure of kiosks selling newspapers and magazines in Yekaterinburg could lead to the shutdown of the press distribution network throughout the Sverdlovsk region.

In the last month and a half, more than 25 kiosks owned by Roshpechat have been removed in Yekaterinburg, despite the organization requesting an extension of their leasing agreements for 2 years.
"New locations are proposed that do not match the size of our outlets. Nine locations are up for auction, and the mayor's office plans to offer another 40 by the end of 2025. But the auction costs are high, and since we have many objects, we cannot afford to participate in them," Pekarsky told the EAN publication.
He believes that very soon the city network will shut down. Currently, there are no Roshpechat kiosks left in the Zheleznodorozhny and Kirovsky districts of Yekaterinburg. If this happens, Roshpechat will be unable to operate in the region.
"Our warehouse logistics complex will not be able to sustain itself: it will be too expensive, and we will not be able to ensure the operability of the outlets," he noted.
Recall that several weeks ago, the Sverdlovsk ombudsman asked Mayor Orlov to return Roshpechat to the city. However, apparently, no steps have been taken to save the organization.
