Today at 18:25, the Yekaterinburg police promptly identified the person who blocked the street of Tsar’s Street to propose marriage to his beloved. This was reported on Wednesday by Valery Gorelykh, head of the Sverdlovsk Main Directorate's press service.
A high-profile incident, previously covered by Uralweb, occurred overnight on August 2 in the area of the house at 7 Tsar’s Street (home to the "Ural Literary Life Museum of the 19th Century").
“The groom, surnamed Senenko, born in 2004, and his helpers—‘jigit’ companions—blocked the road in both directions with five cars for the sake of romantic videos from their perspective. Other drivers were outraged. They had to urgently find detours. Many were angered and rightly demanded harsher punishments for such antics,” stated Colonel Gorelykh.
An administrative case was initiated against a local resident, previously not convicted, under Part 1 of Article 20.2.2 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation—for organizing mass simultaneous presence and/or movement of citizens in public places, leading to a disruption of public order.
After reviewing the materials, Alexander Nikiforov, a judge of the Kirovsky District Court of Yekaterinburg, sentenced the guilty party to 13 days of arrest. He will serve his sentence in a detention center on Elizavetinsky Highway.
“The groom refused to apologize to the townspeople, claiming that he was already held accountable. Well, to paraphrase a chanson song, let this case serve as a vivid example of the consequences that wedding or other ‘mischiefs’ in public places can lead to. After all, 13 days is not a term, but a life lesson for a spectacle at the Church on the Blood,” summarized Valery Gorelykh.
