A woman from Yekaterinburg got food poisoning after dinner at the new "Ognirovo" restaurant. This happened on August 1st. Twenty-two-year-old Polina and her friends visited the establishment, which had just opened.
The girl ordered beef tartare but later requested to replace the dish with beef tongue shashlik. She started feeling unwell that evening and called an ambulance.
"I felt nausea that began to intensify. I vomited, took 'Enterosgel,' and felt better. After 10-15 minutes, the nausea and stomach pain returned, and I vomited two more times," Polina told E1.RU.
The girl was diagnosed with "Food toxicoinfection of the acute gastroenteritis type." Lawyer Julia Lipinskaya, representing Polina's interests, contacted the restaurant. The manager refunded her 7,500 rubles.
"The restaurant representatives showed interest but later tried to shift the blame onto the supplier, citing a similar case in the Chelyabinsk region. The question remains: who authorized the food to be served to customers? I believe it will be settled in court," the lawyer commented.
The "Ognirovo" restaurant responded that they refunded the dinner money. They do not agree that the poisoning was due to their dish and stated there had been no such incidents at the establishment before. The restaurant clarified that Polina demanded moral compensation of 30,000 rubles.
Recall that in Yekaterinburg, the new "Mydinoe Mesto" restaurant was closed. Several people were poisoned there within just a few weeks of operation. Laboratory tests showed that oysters in one batch were of poor quality, containing Escherichia coli.
