Three people died in a car collision with a truck near Bogdanovich.

      The circumstances of the road traffic accident with a fatal outcome that occurred on Friday evening near Bogdanovich are being clarified by traffic inspectors, the State Traffic Inspectorate of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region reports.

      The tragedy occurred on August 29 at 17:17 on the 1st kilometer of the Bogdanovich–Garashkinskoye road. According to preliminary data, a Shacman truck driven by a 55-year-old man and a Suzuki passenger car driven by a 28-year-old man collided.

      It has been established that three people who were in the passenger car died as a result of the accident: two women, born in 1976 and 1997, and a boy born in 2023, who was being transported in a special child restraint device appropriate for his weight and height.

      The truck driver was unharmed. According to the results of testing for alcohol intoxication at the time of the accident, he was sober. The condition of the other driver will be established as part of a forensic medical examination.

      Various versions of what happened are being considered, including a possible entry into the oncoming lane.

      Administrative protocols have been drawn up against the driver of the Shacman: under Part 1 of Article 12.5 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation (for different tires on the same axle); under Part 1 of Article 12.1 (for untimely vehicle registration); under Part 1 of Article 11.23 (for failing to insert the driver's card into the device that monitors the driver's working and rest periods); and under Article 12.6 (for not fastening a seat belt).

      Law enforcement agencies are conducting an investigation into the road traffic accident.

      The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds that entering the oncoming lane is one of the most dangerous maneuvers and requires drivers to exercise increased attention and a sober assessment of the road situation.
