A resident of Surgut was fined for suggesting that Trump take the Urals.
A resident of Surgut (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug) was fined for a remark about transferring the Ural Federal District (UrFD) to the United States, RIA Novosti reports, citing the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. The man left a comment under one of the posts on Telegram.
The administrative offense case was heard by the Surgut City Court.
"Under a news post about the need to take Greenland away from Denmark he left the comment: 'Trump, better take the Ural Federal District, we'll pay you extra,'" the courts' press service said.
The administrative file was drawn up under the article on public calls aimed at violating Russia's territorial integrity, committed via the Internet.
"The court imposed an administrative fine of 90,000 rubles on the man," the statement said.
Recall that currently a resident of Mozhga, saleswoman Evgenia Rogozina (who has been added to Rosfinmonitoring's list of extremists and terrorists), is on trial for a comment in the "Zloy Izhevchanin" group on the VKontakte social network. The woman has been charged under the article on public calls for terrorism on the Internet (Article 205.2 of the Russian Criminal Code); she is being held in Pretrial Detention Center No. 5 in Yekaterinburg. Her case is being heard by the Central District Military Court.
In early September Evgenia, through the Ombudsperson for Human Rights in the Sverdlovsk Region, Tatyana Merzlyakova, sent a letter addressed to Russia's Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut (she was detained over a comment about butter concerning Lut). As Marina Akhmedova, a member of the Presidential Human Rights Council, wrote on her Telegram channel, on September 8 the head of the Presidential Human Rights Council, Valery Fadeev, personally forwarded the Mozhga woman's appeal to the minister.
