Pasler dismissed Deputy Governor Oleg Chemezov.
Vice‑Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Oleg Chemezov has been relieved of his post effective 25 September 2025 by a decree of Governor Denis Pasler.
Oleg Chemezov and his wife are defendants in a lawsuit by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation against "Oblkommunenergo" over the alleged illegal transfer abroad of 12 billion rubles. A criminal case has also been opened on charges of fraud.
According to investigators, a number of high-ranking officials in the Sverdlovsk regional government, including Chemezov, facilitated this through their actions. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, Chemezov, in exchange for "services and property," helped a private company ("Oblkommunenergo") secure onerous tariffs. For example, highly liquid real estate in the Sysertsky District was transferred to his wife, Irina Chemezova, "at nominal cost."
He assumed the post of vice‑governor of Sverdlovsk Region in March 2019, having come into regional politics from the business sector. According to his income declarations for 2020 and 2021, he declared income of around 6 million rubles, the portal E1.RU reported two years ago. At the time, the official was seen wearing a watch worth 4 million rubles.
