Personnel changes may occur in the rectorate of UrFU.
Major personnel reshuffles are looming at the Ural Federal University named after B. N. Yeltsin, anonymous Telegram channels claim. Two vice-rectors may leave their positions at once — Alexey Fayustov and Dmitry Loevsky, responsible for information policy and educational work respectively. Alexey Fayustov, formerly a journalist, host of "Studio‑41" and a lecturer at UrFU, has served as vice‑rector since 2019. Dmitry Loevsky has been a vice‑rector for more than 20 years. According to unofficial information cited by the Telegram channels, both portfolios could be taken over by Alexander Ivanov, the former director of the Department of Information Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region (2016–2018). Recall that in 2025 the leading university of the Middle Urals was appointed under Ilya Obabkov. It was he, according to unofficial reports, who initiated the reforms.
