"Returned to their home harbor." Deputies changed the boundaries of Yekaterinburg
The deputies of the Yekaterinburg City Duma voted to change the boundaries of a municipal district. The decision was made because the borders of Yekaterinburg overlap with the Sysersky and Beloyarsky municipal districts, reports URA.RU.
Deputy Alexander Kolesnikov asked why the boundary change was necessary. In response, Marina Malkova, deputy head of Yekaterinburg’s Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, said that Roskadastr had made errors that need to be corrected, writes URA.RU.
"On the territory of the city of Yekaterinburg, together with the Ministry of Construction of the Sverdlovsk Region, we are carrying out systematic work to eliminate intersections of land parcel boundaries with the boundaries of municipal formations. In the course of this work, intersections were identified between land parcels of the municipal formation 'city of Yekaterinburg' and the lands of the Sysersky and Beloyarsky municipal formations," Malkova replied.
Thus, Yekaterinburg’s lands will be transferred to Sysert and the Beloyarsky municipal district. Historically these lands did not belong to the city, Marina Malkova clarified.
