Factory workers in Sverdlovsk Oblast were deprived of millions of rubles in wages.

      Workers at the Polevsky Mechanical Plant went several months without pay — the company's debt to employees reached 6.5 million rubles. According to the regional prosecutor's press service, payments to 60 workers were delayed for the period from April to June 2025.

      The debt was uncovered during a prosecutor's inspection. The head of the enterprise was held administratively liable under an article of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for untimely payment of wages and was fined 10,000 rubles. After the supervisory authority intervened, the plant fully repaid its debt to the employees.

      The principal of a Sverdlovsk school forced teachers to take out loans and hand over all the money to her.

      "Impoverishment continues": Sverdlovsk residents complained about the level of their salaries.

      Salaries of Yekaterinburg officials will be increased starting in October.
