The Sverdlovsk plant is going to be declared bankrupt because of debts.

One of the oldest enterprises in the Sverdlovsk Region, the Bogdanovich Meat Processing Plant, may soon be declared bankrupt. The relevant petition has already been filed with the Arbitration Court of the Sverdlovsk Region by Uralleasing LLC.

The petition to declare the company bankrupt was received by the court on October 8, writes Ura.Ru. Earlier Uralleasing recovered more than three billion rubles from the meat plant: 1.5 billion rubles was the debt; the remainder was loan interest.

Last year the Bogdanovich Meat Processing Plant was involved in a number of court cases with the tax authorities. The Federal Tax Service asked the court to assess an additional 205 million rubles in taxes, 92 million in late-payment penalties, and 5.1 million in fines. The company asked to suspend the proceedings with the tax authority until the dispute with Uralleasing was resolved, but its request was denied.

Earlier it was reported that Muscovites acquired a 74% stake in the Irbit dairy plant.
