A court in the Sverdlovsk Region ordered a tour operator to compensate two tourists who were unable to board their flight due to an error on their airline tickets. This was reported by the joint press service of the region’s courts.
The incident occurred in January 2025. The two men purchased tickets to a flight to Sri Lanka through the tour operator; however, upon arriving at the airport they discovered that the departure time on the tickets had been incorrectly indicated. As a result, they missed the plane and appealed to the Pervouralsk City Court, demanding reimbursement for the cost of the tickets and the expenses they had incurred.
“The court partially granted the plaintiffs’ claims, siding with them,” the press service clarified.
By the court’s decision, each of the affected parties will be paid about 90,000 rubles.
