Another major company in Sverdlovsk is moving its employees to a reduced workweek.

One of the world’s leading producers of titanium for the aviation industry, VSMPO-Avisma, based in Verkhnyaya Salda, is moving part of its workforce to a reduced workweek, the company’s press service said.

“Some employees not involved in key production processes are planned to be moved to a four-day workweek. They are mainly administrative personnel. This is not an easy decision, but it allows us to retain the team and prepare for the market’s recovery,” a company representative clarified.

The company added that the changes will take effect on December 1. It emphasized that the measure will be temporary and suggested that the freed-up time be used to learn new skills, the publication Signal writes.

Earlier we reported that part of the Yekaterinburg metro’s staff had been sent to a reduced workweek.
