Scammers tried to deceive a Sverdlovsk deputy via the MAX messenger
October 25, 2025
Scammers tried to deceive Sverdlovsk State Duma deputy Maksim Ivanov. He reported this himself on his Telegram channel. The fraudsters called him through the MAX messenger.
“Fraudsters called via MAX pretending to be from the management company. They asked how many keys were needed for the intercom. I said 18. They immediately hung up. The more absurd the answer, the faster the crooks give up,” Maksim Ivanov said.
Earlier we reported how scammers used MAX to force a Sverdlovsk pensioner to sell her apartment.

He’s not the first and by far not the last in this scam. The numbers will grow exponentially.

And here the scammers are already pestering people. But they herd everyone into this scam under the pretext of protection from scammers. Let them block the scam now, too. Otherwise it’s always WhatsApp that’s to blame…
