An earthquake occurred in Sverdlovsk Oblast.
On the morning of November 6 an earthquake occurred beneath the settlement of Lesorazrabotki (Serovsky Urban District, Sverdlovsk Oblast). This was reported in the catalogue of seismic events of the Kazakhstan National Data Center.
According to specialists, the underground tremors were registered at 10:36 local time (05:36 GMT). The magnitude was 3.9, which is considered slightly above average.
An earthquake of magnitude 3.9 does not pose a danger. Such underground tremors are classified as weak: they may be felt only near the epicenter, but do not cause damage and do not pose a threat to people or infrastructure.
Earlier, seismic activity was also noted in the area of the settlement of Levikha, located approximately 100 kilometers from Yekaterinburg. At that time the tremors reached a magnitude of 3.6.
