In Sverdlovsk stores all staple foods have become more expensive — pasta, rice, sausage and margarine. Sverdlovskstat reported that the price surge is continuing for seasonal vegetables as well.
Thus, a kilogram of pasta or vermicelli now costs about 130 rubles, rice — 164 rubles. Cooked sausage has risen to 560 rubles per kilo, margarine — nearly 290, FederalPress writes.
In addition, the cost of baby food has increased noticeably: meat-based rose to 1,143 rubles per kilogram, fruit-and-berry to 557 rubles (a year ago it was less than 510). Vegetable-based baby food stabilized at 741 rubles — an increase of roughly a hundred rubles over the year.
Seasonal vegetables are getting more expensive too: a kilogram of cucumbers costs 145 rubles, tomatoes — 215, cabbage — 30, beets — almost 32 rubles. For example, a year ago a kilogram of tomatoes could be bought for 183 rubles, EAN clarifies.
