As reported by the State Traffic Inspectorate, restrictions are in effect on the stretch from kilometer 20 to kilometer 30 in both directions — toward Yekaterinburg and Rezh. The cause was difficult road conditions and packed snow on the carriageway.

The Traffic Police recommended that drivers refrain from travelling by private car until weather and road conditions improve.

How are people supposed to travel? Haven't they tried clearing it?

Well, idiots for sure. Not only did they put ridiculous 70 km/h signs every kilometer on a four‑lane section and paint solid lines on perfectly straight and well‑visible stretches, but they also decided to close it completely. The leadership's cretinism and feeble‑mindedness are obvious.

And on the Ekad traffic was normal at that time, apparently they cleared and salted it at night, it wasn't slippery at all.
