Governor Pasler presented the Hero of Russia's "Gold Star" to the son of the fallen officer.

      Sverdlovsk Oblast Governor Denis Pasler and representatives of the Central Military District command presented the "Gold Star" medal of a Hero of the Russian Federation to the wife and son of Colonel Igor Dolmatov, who was killed during the special military operation. The award ceremony took place on November 15.

      The state award was handed to the deceased officer's son, the Telegram channel of the Anti-Terrorism Commission of the Sverdlovsk Region reports. A decree conferring the title of Hero of the Russian Federation on Igor Yuryevich Dolmatov (posthumously) was read aloud.

      The high title was conferred for demonstrated courage and valor and for unwavering loyalty to the Fatherland by Presidential Decree of October 15, 2025.

      Igor Dolmatov, commander of a motorized rifle regiment of a motorized rifle division of an army corps of the Leningrad Military District, had taken part in the special military operation since November 2022. He was awarded the Order of Courage and the Medals For Courage and Suvorov.
