A top manager from Sverdlovsk had three passenger cars seized.

      Three cars belonging to a top manager from Kamensk-Uralsky, accused of commercial bribery, have been seized, the press service of the Investigative Committee for the Sverdlovsk Region reported.

      The 46-year-old defendant received more than two million rubles between 2019 and 2023. For this money he provided assistance to a representative of a counterparty organization.

      “As a precautionary measure, at the request of the investigation the court has seized the defendant’s property — three passenger cars and funds,” the agency clarified.

      Valery Gorelykh, press secretary of the Main Directorate of the Interior Ministry for the Sverdlovsk Region, added that the crime was uncovered by officers from the economic security and anti-corruption unit of the territorial department of the Russian Interior Ministry. The materials were then forwarded to the Investigative Committee.

      Earlier it was reported that an accountant in Yekaterinburg was convicted over kickbacks on the supply of vegetables for kindergartens.
