In Sverdlovsk Oblast the share of residents with incomes below the poverty line is decreasing. By the end of 2024 about 6% of the population fell into this category, compared with 8.6% in 2021, reports EAN. According to Rosstat, 248,900 people had incomes below the threshold of 14,779 rubles.

Real incomes are rising along with wages: the real wage index for January–September 2025 was 104.4%. Growth was recorded in almost all sectors, and the average monthly nominal salary in large and medium-sized organizations exceeded 112,000 rubles, having increased by 15.5% year on year.
