— The presence of documents was checked, and for those who received Russian citizenship, it was verified whether they had registered for military service. Many assured that everything was in order. But in reality, it turned out to be the opposite. About 400 people were subjected to checks, of which 85 were violators of migration legislation, — said Valery Gorelykh.
The migrants were sent to buses, which took the violators to police departments. After that, the foreigners will be sent to the Temporary Detention Center. In the near future, bailiffs will deport illegal migrants from the Russian Federation. They will be banned from entering Russia for five years.
From January to March 2026, the police found and deported more than 900 illegal immigrants from the country. Fines totaling 2 million rubles were issued, clarified Colonel Gorelykh.
A complete list of areas of activity where migrants are now prohibited from working in the Sverdlovsk region was previously published.
