Experts from the department and gamekeepers inspected the area where the attack occurred. They found a dead animal by the tracks. It likely died from injuries inflicted by dogs. The lynx was handed over to veterinarians. They will check the animal for dangerous diseases. The injured woman received minor wounds and refused hospitalization.
The Ministry of Ecology reminded that when encountering wild animals, one should not approach them, try to attract their attention, pet, feed, or pick them up. Predators are recommended to be scared away using loud noises, fire, and signal flares, the EAN publication specifies.
