Two residents of Sverdlovsk are returning home from Ukrainian captivity for Easter.
Two servicemen of the special operation of the Russian Armed Forces from the Sverdlovsk region are returning home during these Easter days from Ukrainian captivity. This was reported the day before by the human rights commissioner in the region, Tatyana Merzlyakova, on her social media.
"Today, on the eve of the Bright Resurrection of Christ, good news has come to two families of our fellow countrymen. Just crossed the border of Belarus, the Russians returned from captivity," Tatyana Georgievna wrote on Saturday on "VKontakte."
Returning home are a resident of Yekaterinburg and a resident of Serov. The first was searched for and believed in a successful outcome by his wife, the second by his mother and sister.
"I am very happy for them. According to their words, many fellow countrymen were worried," Merzlyakova noted.
In addition to the captured fighters, Ukraine returned seven residents of the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region to Russia, who were taken from their native places after the Ukrainian Armed Forces entered there. The complete liberation of the Kursk region from Ukrainian troops was reported to the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Armed Forces at the end of April 2025.
