The Yekaterinburg city hall rejected the citizens' comments regarding the construction on the site of the "Dirigible."
The administration of Yekaterinburg rejected most of the citizens' comments on the development project for the area where the shopping center "Dirizhabl" is located, in Botanika. This conclusion follows from the protocol of public discussions approved by the Department of Architecture, Urban Planning, and Land Use Regulation of the city administration.
The procedure involved 258 people. The project proposes the construction of 150,000 square meters of housing on the site of "Dirizhabl." Negative feedback on the project was provided by 80 participants. Opponents of the construction argued that if the project is approved, there will be a shortage of parking spaces, schools, and kindergartens. Some participants suggested creating a park or square on the site of the shopping center. There were proposals for the construction of kindergartens, the publication EAN clarifies.
Recall that in August 2023, the developer from Yekaterinburg "Atlas Development" purchased the shopping center "Dirizhabl." Later, the deputy director of the Department of Consumer Market of the city administration, Maxim Afanasyev, stated that high-rise buildings would appear on the site of the shopping center. However, later, the head of the Chkalovsky district, Evgeny Shipitsyn, during a broadcast on E1.RU, mentioned that "Dirizhabl" is not in danger for the next few years. Even later, it became known that the shopping center will remain at least until 2028.
