It became known about the condition of the girl who survived the terrible accident on the EKAD.
The condition of the schoolgirl who survived a serious traffic accident on the EKAD is still assessed as severe. This was reported by "KP-Ekaterinburg" from the press service of the Children's City Clinical Hospital No. 9. In the hospital, the media was informed that the victim is in intensive care, her condition is stably severe, and doctors are conducting a full range of examinations and treatments.
The accident occurred on the evening of May 1 at the 57th kilometer of the ring road. According to preliminary information, an 18-year-old resident of Polevskoy stole a Renault car from a neighbor and went to Yekaterinburg with four underage girls. On the highway, the driver lost control of the car and veered into the oncoming lane. The vehicle collided with a Toyota Camry, then with a MAN truck and an Opel. After a series of collisions, the car caught fire and was completely burned out. The only survivor was a 16-year-old girl: she was in the front seat and was thrown out through the window during the first collision. It later turned out that the racer did not even have a driver's license.
According to media reports, the owner of the car had given the keys to the young man for the installation of a subwoofer, which allowed him to steal the vehicle. The car was parked near a residential building in the Zeleny Bor-1 neighborhood. The owner discovered the theft only after the accident and reported it to the police.
A criminal case has been opened regarding the traffic accident under the article "Violation of traffic rules resulting in the death of two or more people through negligence." The investigation is under the control of the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin.
