The Yekaterinburg city hall explained the situation regarding the transfer of cultural institutions to the military enlistment offices.

      According to the Telegram channel "Yekaterinburg. Main," which is close to the city administration, the administration of Yekaterinburg has submitted a draft resolution to the city Duma that regulates the possible transfer of municipal property to military commissariats. The document has been prepared within the framework of federal legislation on mobilization training.

      According to the draft, the city administration will be able to provide various city facilities to the military commissariats free of charge, including cultural institutions (theaters, zoos), parks, and other buildings. They are planned to be used for the placement of mobilization points and the organization of military training. The transfer will be carried out without bidding and without rental fees.

      The basis for this is a federal law that obliges organizations, including municipal ones, to provide property for mobilization needs when necessary. At the same time, the state must compensate owners for possible losses, so this is not about expropriation of property, but rather about temporary use with reimbursement.

      The authorities emphasize that this is still just a draft resolution. It must go through discussion and approval in the city Duma. Even if adopted, the document will be of a framework nature and will only be applied in the event of the introduction of mobilization measures or martial law.

      At the moment, all city institutions, including theaters, the zoo, and the Central Park of Culture and Leisure, continue to operate as usual.
