The sign "Ukrainian Cuisine" has been removed from the facade of the Ural restaurant.
The sign "Ukrainian Cuisine" has disappeared from the Chelyabinsk restaurant "Zhuravlina."
The sign had been on the building for 15 years, reports "KP-Chelyabinsk." Now, instead, there is another sign - "Borscht and Draniki."
At the same time, the inscription "Ukrainian Cuisine" has only disappeared from the facade; it still appears on the establishment's website, reports the EAN agency.
Earlier, in 2026, lawyer Igor Lipatnikov expressed concerns to Chelyabinsk authorities about the restaurant due to the mention of Ukraine in its name.
The restaurant's marketer, Maria Vishnyakova, explained to "KP-Chelyabinsk" that the menu at the restaurant has gradually ceased to be Ukrainian and has turned into a mix that includes not only Ukrainian but also Belarusian, Russian, and European cuisines. Borscht and draniki have remained the most popular dishes among visitors for over 15 years.
Earlier, in 2022, another establishment in Chelyabinsk came under scrutiny. It was found to have napkins that resembled the Ukrainian flag in their combination.
It is worth noting that just the day before, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, Tatyana Moskalkova, reported at a meeting with veterans of the SVO that about 2 million Ukrainians live in Russia.
