In Yekaterinburg, animal rights activists rescued a cat that was stuck in a tree during a storm. This happened on the evening of May 9. Volunteers from the "ZooSpas" team were informed about the cat, which residents of the "Dachnik" gardening community on the Siberian highway had been observing at the top of a pine tree for two days.
— The gardeners initially couldn't understand where the meowing was coming from. Then they noticed that it occurred every time a new gust of wind hit the pines hard, — noted the head of the volunteer group, Yevgeny Zenkov.
The rescuer climbed up the tree trunk and tried to pull the cat towards him using a fishing rod loop, but the cat climbed even higher. However, the length of the fishing rod was still sufficient. After several attempts, the volunteer finally managed to catch the cat. The next day, the animal was returned to its owner, reports "KP-Yekaterinburg."
It was previously reported that a murder over a cat that was washed in a washing machine occurred in Yekaterinburg.
