According to the press service of the Moscow Civil Registry Office, in 2025, the name Dmitry was given to approximately one thousand boys in the capital.
The most popular name among Muscovites remains Mikhail. Only Alexander competes with it in frequency. Two years ago, the name Lev pushed Maxim out of the "big three."
The same trend has been noted in the Sverdlovsk region.
The popularity of the name Dmitry peaked in the 70s and 90s, when it was in second place in the ranking of male names, writes "Lenta.ru."
