Analysts from Avito Goods and Avito Services decided to find out from the parents of high school seniors in Yekaterinburg how much they are willing to spend on their child's graduation evening and on what exactly. It turned out that, on average, parents in Yekaterinburg allocate 50,000 rubles for these purposes.
Of these 50,000 rubles, a smaller portion is allocated for appearance (22,000 rubles), while a larger portion (28,000 rubles) is for the celebration itself.
Seventy percent of the surveyed residents of Yekaterinburg expressed their willingness to buy their graduate a new dress or suit.
One-fifth of parents are willing to spend on stylist services (mainly mentioning hairdressers, as well as nail, eyelash, and eyebrow specialists).
Makeup artists were placed last, and according to the survey, there were no takers for involving a stylist in choosing an outfit at all.
Most (45%) plan to allocate up to 15,000 rubles for their child's appearance at the graduation evening. Another 27% plan to spend up to 30,000 rubles, while 6% are willing to spend more than 100,000 rubles.
In total, the respondents are ready to spend 22,000 rubles on creating an image for the graduation. Only 11% of them hope to stay within 5,000 rubles, and the same number (11%) plan to spend from 60,000 to 100,000 rubles.
Thirty-four percent of the survey participants plan to celebrate the graduation in a restaurant. Eleven percent will limit themselves to a celebration at school or organize a picnic in nature.
Almost a third (32%) will simply gather at home with family and friends (not celebrating with the whole class).
For renting banquet halls, decor, music, and other entertainment aspects, the respondents allocate an average of 28,000 rubles.
The overwhelming majority (57%) intend not to exceed 30,000 rubles in these expenses.
Another 22% are ready to spend no more than 15,000 rubles. Approximately the same number of parents are willing to spend from 30,000 to 60,000 rubles (11%) and above (10%).
