A tragedy occurred this morning, May 24, near Kamensk-Uralsky. Two people died in a car accident involving a Ford Transit, reports the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region.
The accident happened at 07:20 on the 33rd kilometer of the road "Sysert - Chasovaya."
According to preliminary data, the 62-year-old driver of the Ford Transit was traveling from the village of Maminskoye towards the village of Sosnovskoye. The man did not take into account the road conditions and chose an unsafe speed, resulting in him leaving the roadway and subsequently overturning the vehicle.
The driver and a 50-year-old woman sitting in the front passenger seat died before the ambulance arrived. Both deceased were residents of the village of Maminskoye. Two other passengers, men aged 59 and 83, also residents of this village, were injured.
It is known that the driver had 40 years of experience in operating vehicles. The condition he was in at the time of the accident will be determined based on the results of the appointed examination.
