      May 24, 2026 In Pervouralsk, the State Traffic Inspectorate is investigating the circumstances of a traffic accident involving a bus and a pit bike, reports the regional agency.

      The accident occurred around 6:15 PM on Friday, May 22, at 51/2 Lenin Street in Pervouralsk. According to preliminary data, the "PAZ" bus, following route No. 3, failed to yield to the "DAREX" pit bike while passing through an uncontrolled intersection.

      There were 15 passengers on the bus, none of whom were injured. The pit bike driver, a man born in 1995, was taken to a medical facility with injuries and was released home after examination and necessary assistance.

      It has been established that the pit bike driver did not have a category "A" driver's license and had been held administratively responsible 18 times.

      The bus driver, a man born in 1962, has 28 years of experience driving category "D" vehicles and had been held administratively responsible three times before.

      An administrative offense case has been initiated against the PAZ bus driver under part 2 of article 12.13 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation (failure to yield to a vehicle with the right of way at intersections), and a case has also been initiated under part 2 of article 12.24 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules resulting in bodily harm to the victim).

      An administrative offense protocol has been drawn up against the pit bike driver under part 1 of article 12.7 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle without the right to drive). The penalty for this article provides for a fine ranging from 5,000 to 15,000 rubles.

      The pit bike has been placed in a specialized parking lot. An investigation into the accident has been initiated.

      Earlier in May, an ambulance took an elderly passenger from the bus who was injured as a result of emergency braking.
