In Yekaterinburg, a gas company was fined half a million rubles for overcharging tariffs.
"Yekaterinburggaz" was fined in an antimonopoly case for overcharging for the maintenance and repair of in-apartment gas equipment. This was reported by the press service of the FAS management for the Sverdlovsk region.
The antimonopoly service established that the high fees charged by JSC "Yekaterinburggaz" were collected from March 1, 2025, to March 19, 2026. The tariffs set by the company had no economic justification, causing residents to overpay for repair and maintenance services.
The FAS did not specify the amount of overpayment, writes the publication EAN. Following the inspection, an antimonopoly case was initiated against JSC "Yekaterinburggaz."
The amount of the fine following the inspection was 562 thousand rubles. As a result of the inspection, the gas workers adjusted the tariffs in accordance with FAS requirements.
Earlier, Russians were informed about how to legally write off debts for utility services.
