An activist of the "Yabloko" party from Yekaterinburg has been added to the list of terrorists and extremists.
Activist of the youth wing of the "Yabloko" party, Yegor Tkachenko from Sverdlovsk, has been added to the register of extremists and terrorists by Rosfinmonitoring, reports 66.RU. This information was confirmed by the press service of "Yabloko."
"The Sverdlovsk Youth Yabloko" was created in 2019 as a branch of the party organization. It did not have legal entity status.
Tkachenko was detained last year along with other activists of the youth "Yabloko" after security forces visited the party's office. According to law enforcement, they supported and justified terrorists, calling them "political prisoners," reported a source to 66.RU.
A protocol was drawn up against Tkachenko for "propaganda of LGBT" (recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) due to a sticker featuring a character from the gachimuchi memes.
In April of this year, searches were conducted at Tkachenko's place, as well as at the chairman of the regional branch of "Yabloko" in the Sverdlovsk region, Maxim Petlin. They were then interrogated by the Investigative Committee but were subsequently released without any protocols.
After that, the youth wing of Sverdlovsk's "Yabloko" was closed. The party stated that they do not see the possibility of continuing their work.
