In Yekaterinburg, jurors acquitted a local resident who hired a hitman to kill her husband.
The jury refused to find the Yekaterinburg woman guilty of hiring a hitman to kill her former partner. The acquittal verdict was issued on Friday, June 5, reports the press service of the Sverdlovsk region courts.
A 42-year-old resident of Yekaterinburg, Natalia Isaeva, is accused of organizing preparations for a hired murder.
According to the prosecution, due to animosity towards her former partner stemming from a conflict over the organization and timing of meetings with their common child, she decided to kill the man.
Natalia found a hitman, promising him a monetary reward of no less than 276,998 rubles.
However, the "hitman" warned the victim about the impending crime, and he contacted law enforcement.
At the request of the accused, the criminal case was considered with the participation of jurors, who concluded that there was no event of a crime, thus acquitting the defendant.
It was previously reported that Natalia decided to deprive the child's father of parental rights, after which he began to "harass" her, waiting outside her house to see their daughter. The woman worked as a foreign language tutor. According to the indictment, she faced up to 20 years in prison.
Earlier in February, the jury acquitted the mother of the murdered 3-year-old boy, Natalia Guseva. According to the prosecution, the woman beat her child to death, born from a young foreign partner.
UPD. The jury acquitted Natalia Isaeva for the second time. The previous acquittal verdict was overturned by the Sverdlovsk Regional Court, reports "KP-Yekaterinburg."
Her defense argued that she only wanted to scare the child's father, who had been terrorizing her: since the beginning of 2024, Isaeva had filed five reports with the police and three with the prosecutor's office. The defendant partially admitted her guilt.
In November 2025, the jury issued a unanimous verdict: the fact of the desire to organize a murder was not proven. At the same time, according to correspondence between the client and the executor, she was shown staged footage of the "corpse" of her former partner, and she inquired whether the body would be found and how she should behave in case of interrogation.
However, based on the jury's acquittal verdict, the Kirov District Court of Yekaterinburg fully acquitted the woman, recognizing her right to rehabilitation. However, the criminal case was sent by the Regional Court for a new review, which took place in the Kirov District Court today.
