Seven residents of Sverdlovsk returned home from Ukrainian captivity.
On June 4, the second stage of the prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine took place. As a result, seven residents of Sverdlovsk were released. This was reported to the EAN publication by the human rights commissioner in the region, Tatyana Merzlyakova.
Thus, on June 4, the Russian and Ukrainian sides exchanged 185 for 185 people. This was the second stage of the exchange. According to agreements with the Ukrainian side, there will be several more exchanges, with a total number expected to reach 1,000 people from each side.
The first stage took place on May 15, when 205 for 205 people were exchanged, and an additional 14 for 14 severely wounded individuals were exchanged outside the lists. An exchange of the bodies of the deceased is also expected.
