From mid-July to the end of September, 1905 Square will become a new venue for active recreation for city residents. Four padel courts will operate in the center of Yekaterinburg, around which a comfortable public space will be created with relaxation areas and infrastructure for visitors.
Preparation of the area is already underway. Wooden walkways, benches, flower beds with apple trees and hydrangeas, sun and rain canopies, as well as architectural lighting have appeared in the square. The concept development and landscaping are being handled by the team from Mayakovsky Park.
Access to the courts will be organized by prior reservation. Some sessions on weekdays will be free, similar to the city ice rink that operated in this area during the winter seasons. Changing rooms, toilets, a food court, and additional relaxation areas will be provided for guests.
In addition to playing padel, various activities are planned for the area. In particular, a boccia court and other entertainment zones will be established. One of the key events of the season will be a tournament dedicated to City Day.
