Nineteen runners applied to participate in the ultramarathon covering a distance of 65 kilometers, which took place last Sunday, June 7, in the vicinity of Nizhny Tagil.
Let us remind you that the ultra-distance runs along the clearing of the former Visimo-Utkinskaya narrow-gauge railway and is named "The Cuckoo Went" in honor of the first steam locomotive.
It was expected that the runners would complete this route in 12 hours, wrote the portal v-tagile.ru.
The ultramarathon became the most challenging sporting part of the athletics festival "Tagil Ultra Trail." A total of six distances were prepared for the event - 65, 21, 10, 5 kilometers, a children's race of one kilometer, and a distance for Nordic walking.
The longest trail was chosen by 19 trail runners. Most runners preferred the 10-kilometer distance.
The winner of the ultramarathon was Fail Sagadieva - he took 5 hours and 54 minutes to cover the 65-kilometer route. Among women, the best result was shown by Alina Fattakhova, with a time of 8 hours and 20 minutes, reports the Department of Information Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region.
