You can now fly from Yekaterinburg to Abkhazia.
Starting from July 1, Ural Airlines will begin operating direct flights from Yekaterinburg to Sukhum for the first time. Flights to the capital of Abkhazia will be conducted twice a week - on Wednesdays and Sundays. Ticket sales are already open.
According to the schedule, the departure from Yekaterinburg is planned for 10:50, with arrival in Sukhum at 12:30. The travel time will be 3 hours and 40 minutes. The return flight will depart at 13:30 and arrive in Yekaterinburg at 19:00. The flight duration is 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Alexander Pastukhov, the Executive Director of Koltsovo Airport, noted that Abkhazia has entered the airport's route network for the first time in modern history. Today, Koltsovo offers more than 80 destinations, including about a dozen routes to seaside resorts, and the new flight will expand opportunities for tourists.
For Russian citizens, traveling to Abkhazia remains as simple as possible: entry into the territory of the republic can be done with either a domestic Russian or a foreign passport. A visa is not required for stays of up to 90 days.
