      With the participation of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Sverdlovsk Region, Tatyana Merzlyakova, it was possible to bring home 200 servicemen from captivity. The results of the ombudsman's work were summarized by the presidential envoy in the Ural Federal District, Artyom Zhoga.

      — The office of the Commissioner for Human Rights is doing a tremendous job of bringing Ural residents back from captivity — as of today, 200 residents of Sverdlovsk have already returned home. In addition, human rights defenders are visiting municipalities and meeting with the families of participants in the special military operation: they are identifying their needs and trying to help, Zhoga wrote.

      According to him, recently, with the assistance of Tatyana Merzlyakova, the command of the Central Military District launched the first hot line in Russia for searching for injured servicemen.

      Recall that last week, during an exchange that took place between Russia and Ukraine, seven residents of the Sverdlovsk region were released from captivity. The Russian and Ukrainian sides exchanged 185 for 185 people.
