The court has arrested one of the teenagers who killed a peer in Krasnoturinsk.

      The Krasnoturynsk City Court has chosen a measure of restraint for a 15-year-old local resident accused of murdering a peer, the press service of the Sverdlovsk region courts reported on Sunday.

      The charge under paragraph "j" part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy") has been brought against two 15-year-old teenagers.

      "According to the investigation, the crime occurred on the evening of June 12, 2026, in the territory of a garage complex in the city of Krasnoturynsk. A quarrel broke out between one of the boys and his acquaintance. During the conflict, the boys inflicted several stab wounds on the girl, after which they fled. The victim was discovered by passersby who called an ambulance. Despite the efforts of the doctors, the girl died in the hospital," the court's press service stated.

      The Krasnoturynsk court has chosen a measure of restraint in the form of detention for one of the accused until August 11 inclusive. Today, the investigator's petition for the arrest of the second accused will be considered.

      The court's ruling has not yet entered into legal force and can be appealed by the parties within 3 days.
