In Yekaterinburg, law enforcement raided a lawyer's drug lab.
In the Beloyarsky District, FSB officers, together with the police, suppressed the activities of an underground drug laboratory organized in a private house. A 54-year-old resident of Yekaterinburg, who has a legal education, was detained on suspicion of its creation. This was reported by the head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk Region, Valery Gorelykh.
According to law enforcement officials, the operation was carried out after a lengthy operational development and the receipt of information about possible drug trafficking in the residential sector. It was established that the laboratory had been operating since November 2025.
As Valery Gorelykh explained, the suspect purchased an old house in a rural area, hoping not to attract the attention of neighbors. According to the investigation, he independently organized the full cycle of synthetic drug production, and sold the finished products in large batches through stash spots in forest park areas.
During the searches, law enforcement officers discovered and seized about 22.9 kilograms of synthetic drugs, 400 liters of precursors, as well as equipment necessary for the production of prohibited substances.
A criminal case has been initiated against the man. He had not previously been subject to criminal liability. Currently, the suspect is in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
